Hails and Farewells
We welcome Amanda in the Tadpoles, Keagan in the kitchen, and Jamie as a substitute teacher. We hate to say goodbye to Jazmine, Tassy, and Serenity.
I hope everyone is ready for summer and that Carolina HEAT! We have been blessed with a mild spring. Now everyone is going to be shocked by the heat wave that is to come! Don’t forget to send in a water bottle daily and take it home every Friday for washing. It is advised to apply sunscreen in the morning at drop off time as the children go outside every day. If you plan on leaving some for us to reapply in the afternoon, please make sure you fill out a medicine authorization form. If the temp with heat index is over 95 we limit outside play to 20 minutes. If it is over 99 we will implement indoor recess. Our last summer reminder: sandals are cute and cool for the summer, but we prefer tennis shoes that protect our children’s feet while on the playground.
Please let us know at least two weeks in advance and in writing if your child is leaving us. We have a short form you can fill out in the office or you can email the office your two week notice. If your child will be in the Threes or Fours next school year and you have already paid the book fee, your child can take the summer off. You will not have to pay tuition all summer and you will not lose your space for the fall. However, we can’t guarantee a space for your child to return until our new school year begins on August 7th. If your child is in one of the younger classrooms and you choose to remove them for the summer, but want them to return in August, your child will go on the waitlist. The waitlist is quite long right now and the registration fee must be paid again. Please see the office with further questions.

Please do not send food with nuts in our rooms that have allergies. They are posted on the door for each classroom. Thank you.
